Intent:
Residents will be familiar with the institutional policies of the various health care facilities through which they rotate.
Policy Statement:
All health care institutions have a variety of policies that cover administration and care of patients in those institutions. Residents should be familiar with the rules governing their functioning in the various institutions through which they rotate.
Description:
- It is the residentıs responsibility to familiarize themselves with specific hospital policies when they first begin to rotate to the various hospitals participating in their education.
- Residents will be accountable for compliance with the specific hospital policies of the institution through which they are rotating.
- Hospital policies for the five major participating hospitals can be found at the following web sites:
- If in doubt with regards to any hospital policy, please contact the attendings, the nurse or the Chief of Staffs office.
